Illustration of Bournemouth

We were assigned to create an illustration – our impression of Bournemouth. Certain things in the UK stuck out to me for one reason or another. For instance, I constantly notices surveillance cameras, barbed wire, and generally felt that many placed were fenced-off in some way. This layered on top of my impression of Bournemouth in particular, at the time – empty and repetitive.

You can also find the “flat” version and the “outlines” version. One has no outlines at all, one has all the outlines. The final image I submitted was a mix of the two. I like the idea of pure colour blocks, but I lacked both the skill and the time to try to develop that further. So here they are. Why not?
